18 weeks!

It's now been 4 weeks since I started updating the blog with pictures of how far along I am... I can definitely tell the difference between week 14 pictures and today's!

How far along: 18 weeks 0 days

Maternity Clothes: I'm wearing my maternity jeans more, although I bought them a size larger because I'm sure I'll grow some during the pregnancy, and not just in my abdomen area!

Stretch Marks: None so far...

Sleep: I am still rebelling and sleeping on my stomach. I feel like I am sleeping on top of a small nerf ball. ;)

Best Moment this Week: I got a job! I accepted a job as a co-teacher at a private school in Lynnwood. Hopefully, it will be a great fit. The principal told me there were over 100 applicants to the position... So I feel pretty great that I got it. I am planning on telling the principal and my co-teacher this week about the pregnancy- feeling nervous, but glad to get it over with.

Movement: Haven't felt anything so far.

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular right now.

Gender: 2 weeks and 2 days until we get to find out!

Labor Signs: Thankfully, no.

Belly Button: Normal.

What I Miss: Not having to pee in the middle of the night.

What I'm Looking Forward to this Week: Getting over telling the principal, and eventually being "out" with the news!

Weekly Wisdom: Be patient.

17 weeks!

How far along: 17 weeks 0 days

Maternity Clothes: I can still fit into this one pair of jeans, thank goodness they've got a low rise!

Stretch Marks: None so far!

Sleep: Doing better this week.

Best Moment this Week: Having a great dinner/evening with Sam, Chris, and Reagan.

Movement: Haven't felt anything yet.

Food Cravings: I had a delicious ice cream cone, today!

Gender: 3 weeks until we get to find out! So far, Uncle Aaron, Grandpa Steve, and one of the girls I nanny for have said boy. Everyone else has predicted girl. If you haven't wagered a guess yet, post it in the comments!

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button: Normal.

What I Miss: Sleeping through an entire night without needing to pee.

What I'm Looking Forward to this Week: Meeting my friend's little boy, Jonathan.

Weekly Wisdom: I didn't get any wiser this week, sorry!

16 Weeks!

How far along: 16 weeks 0 days

Maternity Clothes: Things are getting a little tighter.... I've been using the Bella Band.

Stretch Marks: Still hoping I don't get any on my tummy!

Sleep: Insomnia is not my friend.

Best Moment this Week: Spending a lovely Sunday afternoon on Lake Sammamish, celebrating Valerie's dedication.

Movement: Haven't felt anything yet.

Food Cravings: Had my weekly doughnut on Tuesday!

Gender: 4 weeks until we get to find out! (Intuition is telling us it's a girl, but we could be wrong!)

Labor Signs: Thankfully, no.

Belly Button: Normal.

What I Miss: Getting my own classroom ready.

What I'm Looking Forward to this Week: Seeing Reagan and Chris, seeing David Gray, mild sunny days.

Weekly Wisdom: Do not drink Coke after 1pm. Do not nap after 2pm. Or you will not be able to sleep at night!

New Stroller!

So, our EasyWalker Sky was delivered last week to Aaron and Kara's, and yesterday I went over to their house and.... assembled it all by myself! I know, I know: impressive!

It's just as lovely as I hoped it would be! Right now, it has the bassinet/carrycot attachment on, which is better for infants. I won't need to use it for another 5-6 months, but I'm ready!

Here are some pictures:

Here's a little video I tried to make, too:

One step closer....

So, Sam and I had been looking at buying the Gulliver crib from Ikea to have in the nursery. It's a nice, simple crib; and there was no way I wanted to spend a ton of money on a crib. It says online that the Gulliver in white is $99, but I seem to remember in the store it being $140. Here's a picture of the crib.

Well, Sam and I started talking more about our finances for next year- we know things are going to be stretched very tight if I do not get a teaching job, so we are trying to save as much money as we can right now. I decided I would browse listings on Craigslist to see if I could find any deals. Lo and behold, someone in Woodinville was selling their barely used Gulliver for $65! I picked it up yesterday and now we have a crib!

Here is a picture of it in the "nursery-to-be." Basically, everything you see in this room will be moved out except the crib. I figured it would be good to have some "before" pictures. :)

Next are some paint colors I'm considering:

I will definitely post more pictures as it all comes together!

15 weeks!

How far along: 15 weeks 0 days

Maternity Clothes: I can still fit into my Banana Republic jeans!

Stretch Marks: No new ones so far...

Sleep: Still dealing with some insomnia, at times. Definitely needing to get up and pee at least once a night.

Best Moment this Week: Getting our crib for a steal, spending an afternoon with Mom, Mary, and Jeanette, then BBQing it up over in Monroe.

Movement: Haven't felt anything yet.

Food Cravings: I really, really like FROST's doughnuts. ;) Fortunately I can't give myself an excuse to go there more than once a week.

Gender: 5 weeks until we get to find out! (Intuition is telling us it's a girl, but we could be wrong!)

Labor Signs: Thankfully, no.

Belly Button: Normal.

What I Miss: My friends in California.

What I'm Looking Forward to this Week: Lunch with a friend tomorrow, the continued mild, even below "normal" temperatures.

Weekly Wisdom: You can find a lot of good deals on craigslist. ;)
